July 2011 Goals

WOW June flew past for me this year and I can’t believe July 4th weekend is already upon us.  Where did the time go???  On to another month and another set of goals that I will try very hard to accomplish(especially going to the beach).

A review of my June Goals:

1. remove the old ditsy wallpaper from the downstairs bath and paint the walls.  *Since I didn’t get to this in May or June and it may still be here in September:) but I will add it to the July list for now.
2. blog minimum 3 times a week *did this- yay!  Going to keep it up in July
3. go to the beach at least once *technically went to the beach for this wedding.  However I’m adding a revision to my July goals on this one:)
4. order a 7×7 inch sample wedding parent album to show my clients  *going on the July list
5. test out Animoto, I have a free 30 day trial!  Stay tuned for some fun slideshows. *tried this out and you can see a slideshow here but I don’t think it’s right for my business at this time.  I’ve been trying other slide shows on my blog which I think fit more with my brand:)
6. update my website & blog with photos of myself- This weekend Nadya will be taking some photos of me for this one!  I’m a little nervous- ha *done and check out my updated website here!
7. finish my wedding client sample website using images from Lori and Jason’s wedding I photographed last year. *done but I haven’t blogged about it yet, hope to show you next week!
8. Find a creative way to use my access to personal client websites via Showit for my family clients- any ideas fellow Photogs out there? *done and you can view the one I designed for Casey & Jack’s family here.
9. clean all the windows in my house that I don’t have to climb a 20 foot ladder for, inside and out!  *going on the July list
10. paint the downstairs 1/2 bath vanity  *going on the July list
11. organize the basement shelves  *going on the July list
12. Add client testimonials to my website- if you are a past client email me a few words about your experience and I will add them to my site.  *almost done but going on the July list and it will get done!

For July I am so, so busy with 1 or 2 or 3 weddings per weekend!  Today is day 1 of a triple header for me:)  Looking forward to it.  I am hoping to complete these but won’t be crushed if I can’t finish them all:

1. Add client testimonials to my website- if you are a past client email me a few words about your experience and I will add them to my site.  Since this is almost complete I want to get this done first!
2. clean all the windows in my house, that I don’t have to climb a 20 foot ladder for, inside and out!
3. organize the basement shelves

5. go to the beach at least once and it’s edited to add** wear a bathing suit, sit in a beach chair and go in the water!  Working on the beach is not going to count this time
6. order a 7×7 inch sample wedding parent album to show my clients
7. order a canvas of Chris and I for our living room- doing this today!  can’t wait to show you photos in a blog post
8. add some music to my website
9. purchase/license 2 more songs for slideshow music
10. purchase some type of file folder organizing system- paperwork is out of control over here!  Thinking of going to the container store which can be a bad idea for a person like me.  I heart organization:)
11. blog minimum 3 times a week

Have a great 4th everyone!  We are heading to my sister’s roof deck in JC for some grilling, corona and fireworks.  Looking forward to it!
