Since Buenos Aires was very much like NYC we were so excited to fly to the wine country in western Argentina: Mendoza. It was hot here. We ate, drank wine, took a cooking class and ate some more. Eating was a big part of this vacation. This photo below photos are in Vines Of Mendoza which offers wine tastings from many different local wineries and also ships home as much wine as you want! We have 2 cases coming:)
The 2nd day we took a cooking class at Familia Zuccardi winery, along with a wine tour, lunch, and a peak inside the wine celler this might be my most favorite day of the trip!
The best empanadas of the trip and we made them!
My other favorite photo of Kevin and Neda
We ended the evening at 1884 a Francis Mallmann restaurant- such good food! Finding this restaurant was the best adventure of the whole trip. It’s located inside an old warehouse/vineyard totally obscured from the street with no signage. So only people in the know can find it and our cab driver was not in the know. He kept telling us, “There are no restaurants there, it is not a good neighborhood, I don’t know why you want to go there.” We pulled over to ask for directions and low and behold the man we asked was the door man for the restaurant who opened up these huge gates to let the cab drive inside(see 3rd photo below). It was a beautiful restaurant inside and they had seating with a huge larger than life grill outside.
