I just haven’t been able to keep up with blogging so this weekly post may turn bi-weekly for a little while. Bare with me as I have a lot going on between freelancing in NYC 5 days a week, photography work, my mom still in rehab and my father getting open heart surgery in 2 weeks. It is a lot to handle, but I am keeping up and looking forward to spring and summer as you can see by my photos this week!
Anyway on a more cheerful note over the past 3 weeks I:
- Wore Neon Pink to try and channel spring, it’s coming sloooowly but surely:)
- Met with 2 wonderful couples about their wedding photography! Both couples are planning smaller, more intimate weddings at venues I would love to work at. I’m so lucky that I get to meet and work with couples who do not necessarily do things the way everyone else does when it comes to their wedding.
- Photographed a small and really personal wedding at Hotel Bethleham, a gorgeous historical building right in downtown.
- Went to Costco the day before Easter and it wasn’t too bad- I got there 5 minutes before they opened so I think that helped. It’s always a zoo in there.
- Had a wonderful Easter Dinner at my mother in laws with my sister, dad, Kelli and baby Luke – who is getting bigger already! Luke and Chris bonded over snuggles and feedings, too cute.
- Photographed the Allendale Womens Club annual fashion show at Seasons. What a fun filled event that benefits a different charity every year, this years charity was Family Promise of Bergen County.
- Watched Syracuse win and loose, it was a good year though and GO ORANGE!
- Watched the Season premier of Mad Men. I can’t get enough of this show and now that we are all caught up I have to wait 7 days until the next episode!
- Found out our 2 best friends are having a baby in September!! I can’t wait to meet him or her, we are super excited for them both and to become and Aunt and Uncle again.
- Watched Brave, which was really a cute movie for kids and adults too;)
- Read 3 more Nora Roberts books and this Janet Evanovich book – maybe I’m just a romantic at heart. I never really thought I was though- ha! I love the fact that I don’t really have to think too much when reading these books and it passes the time on the train.
- Wrote 7 blog posts and have them scheduled over the next 2 weeks – I’m taking advantage of scheduling things on my blog and facebook page. It really helps me get things done!
- Purchased a basil plant for the kitchen window – I cannot wait for basil and tomatoes!
- Ordered this new front door mat– it’s so cheerful and fun! I love it.
