I really love to relax with a glass of wine and it’s so fun to go to wineries and do tastings and bring home a few bottles (OK cases) of wine. For the past couple of years we have been going to different wine regions around the northeast with my sister and her boyfriend. Each fall we make a weekend of it and drive around to different wineries, picnic if it’s nice out and just enjoy the fall foliage and getting out of the city. This year we went to the Hudson Valley wine region. If you haven’t been I recommend giving it a try. It’s not as expensive as Long Island(which we did last year and had a blast) and it’s about an hour from the city. You could even go just for the day. There are about 10 wineries and it’s the perfect amount for a weekend trip.
Chris and I on day 1- this was taken on the top of a hill overlooking the valley below. It kind of looks like a fake background in the photo but the trees were so beautiful even though it rained on and off.
I really loved this! The bottles are empty and on this wooden tree form with Christmas lights woven in between- great idea!
Day 2 weather was so much nicer! Fall colors at their best.
This was the best part of the weekend I think.
I’m actually in a shot- my sister took this one.
This is one of my favorite photos of my sister:)
Yes we also got a pumpkin that got strapped onto the roof of the mini cooper. This place also had the BEST cider donuts I have ever had- yum.
